How do you type on the laptop when it’s
docked?
Simple. You don’t. The Dock is designed for use with an external keyboard
and mouse.

Will it hold a 17’’ laptop?
The basic answer is, YES.
The Dock is engineered to hold more than 30 lbs of weight. In general if the
laptop is less than 1.75’’ thick it should be just fine when placed in the Dock.

VGA (monitor) port?
