Expanding on OCZ's proprietary XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) heatspreader technology, the new XTC Rev 2 Cooler air-cools your modules, improving memory performance, stability, and longevity to allow enthusiasts to tweak their memory more freely due to superior active cooling.

Once installed over the memory subsystem, the XTC Cooler’s dual 60mm fans channel a steady flow of air creating a cooler environment and promoting stability. Though optimized for use with OCZ’s specialized XTC heatspreaders, the Rev. 2 is a beneficial cooling aid for all system memory, including those with larger, taller heatsinks. Thanks to superior active cooling, dual fan speeds, and easy installation, this second edition cooler is the ultimate overclocking companion for enthusiasts seeking superior performance, longevity, and reliability from their memory.

The XTC Cooler Rev 2 attaches to your motherboard's DIMM socket retention levers, making it compatible to use with all memory modules, including RAM with taller heatsinks thanks to the improved brackets. While the fans cool your system memory, glowing LED fans illuminate your memory subsystem.

* XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) heatspreaders optimize the thermal management of memory modules by promoting greater airflow by means of micro-convection throughout what is usually the dead air space inside conventional heatspreader designs. In this manner, build-up of heat is avoided and thermal dissipation of the memory components is offloaded more efficiently through the honeycomb design. At the same time, mechanical stability is maintained.
