When the challenge is to increase storage capacity while controlling costs, one Serial ATA (SATA) RAID controller family gives IT professionals what they need to accomplish both goals - the Escalade 8000 Series RAID controllers from 3ware. With the ability to support up to 4 controllers per system, the Escalade 8000 Series can scale capacity to over 12 TB (250 GB x 12 port x 4 controllers/system).

3ware combines an advanced non-blocking switched fabric architecture StorSwitch™, with SATA drives to deliver a highly scalable hardware RAID storage solution. Each controller boasts a PCI 66MHz custom ASIC that combines an integrated RISC processor, PCI bridge (64-bit, 66MHz) and XOR RAID engine. The Escalade 8506 offers the most popular Serial ATA RAID 5 as well as Levels 0,1,10 and JBOD.
